She walked in looking like a wet dog. Her hair was matted across her forehead and her makeup was running down her cheeks.  Her shirt was soaked all the through and clung to her body in all the right places.

“Can I offer you my shirt?” I asked when she sat down next to me.  She stared for a moment, and I could see her thinking about it.

“That’s the best offer I’ve had all day,” she finally said.

Without anymore talking we walked to the bathroom and locked the door.  I took of my light sweater and hung it on the door behind me before unbuttoning my shirt.  She dropped her purse to the floor and peeled the wet cotton off her body.  She wasn’t wearing a bra beneath her soaked clothes and I could see the goose bumps on her small and perfect breasts.  She clutched her arms to her chest and her teeth chattered for a moment.

Without thinking about it I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her close.  She tensed for a moment then embraced me as well, her wet hair pressing against my neck and chin.  I held here there until she stopped shivering and I kissed the top of her head before letting her go.  She leaned up and looked at me as she whispered thank you.

Our kiss only lasted seconds, but it burst through my body like the storm through the city just moments before.  She tasted like the rain and her lips were so soft and tender I nearly didn’t stop.   

I finally pulled my shirt off and slipped it over her shoulders.  I helped her button it up before pulling the sweater back on over my head.  She kissed me once more before unlocking the door and she took me by the hand as we walked back to the bar.

“Is that better?” I asked before ordering her a drink.

She gave me the same quizzical look as before and then smiled.

“I think I might need some more body heat for a while.” 

We were gone before the bartender returned, and this time we didn’t come back until every last goose bump had disappeared.
