“You were gone too long,” she whispered as she slid a hand inside the front of my jeans.

“It was only ten days,” I said feeling a nipple harden as I flicked my thumb over it through her thin cotton shirt. Her bras live in her drawer of winter clothes and all summer long she has to contend with my constant caresses. 

She kissed me as she wrapped fingers around me and she tasted like New York.  She tasted like coffee and bacon, and she tasted like longing and rain on the hot sidewalk.  When I wrapped an arm around her, my lips found her neck and my hands found a bare thigh beneath her summer skirt.  I caressed her tattoo even though I couldn’t see it, and she unzipped me as I pulled her onto my lap.

“Can we open a window?” I asked in a whisper.

“Why?  It’s too hot,” she said as she rubbed me against herself, moaning into my ear.

“I want to hear the sounds of traffic.  I’m tired of seagulls.”

I pulled off my shirt as she opened the window and the sounds of Sixth Avenue made me even harder.  She didn’t hesitate as she crawled back on top of me and when I slid inside of her I started to cry.

“Did you really miss the city that much?” she asked pressing down around me. I grabbed her ass and pulled her hard against me as I bit her bottom lip and dried my eyes with her soft cheek.

“Don’t be ridiculous,” I told her as I lifted her off the chair and laid her down on the bed, never losing our connection.  She looked up at me as I moved inside her and the hot wind through the window blew her hair across her face.  I pushed it away and kissed her again just as we both began to come. I held her tightly as we quivered around each other, letting all the tension and longing fly from our bodies.

“I missed you that much,” I finally said as I lay down next to her on the bed.
